The Mastersounds Story

The original story is as follows:

"Spawned in the depths of a 'dingy' garage, 7 friends came together to honor a man, a legend, a prodigy: Tom Masterson. Slapping bass harder, and faster than any man before him he fashioned a band for the ages. Aided by his trusty guitar shredding sidekick (and 15 year old brother) Jayden Masterson, the plan fell into place. With the addition of a face-melting horns section, a hyped up keyboard player, a skankin rhythmic guitarist and a drummer who can feel beats from here to the moon and back, a legend was born."

With their first ever gig at Jamberoo Pub open mic night under their belts, TM&TMS set their sights upon a much grander destination and a much grander prize indeed...

The first comp that the band did enter (under the name 7+1=Josh) was the Bluescope Steel Youth Band Comp of 2010, which lacking a trombone player and at the age of 6 months, they came in second. This landed them a spot in the hearts and minds of the public. Also setting them up to come back the next year and take out the first prize!

Since then...
There have been many many gigs, performances and shows. An EP was launched late 2011!
